Mayo 9/5

The stench of ever closer death that I always catch a whiff of when I am in Orlando's "downtown" area, the apocalyptic nightmare that is most obvious on a weekend night just past the hour of witching, was present during our brief tour, and echoed later in the classroom.
I'm not sure how I feel about PoMo life, either I'm terrified by the breakdown of meaning, or I am compelled and beg for it to come on quicker, and likely both at once.
Reading Habermas is just adding to the dissolution... Maybe I'm seeing things through dead rose tinted lenses, but all of the theory so far seems so negative, it almost chokes me at times.

How about elaborating a bit more on your thoughts about downtown or on your sense of the negativity of pomo. You've established the feeling; tell us more about why.
